I like the chords used and everything! Such a relaxing and mellow song. Reminds of like acid jazz or something. Very nice, I wish this music was more popular now so I could hear it everywhere.

Great song and great job!

Thanks for listening.

Wow very awesome song!! I was going to enter that contest but then I got caught up in other things....

Anyways, just everything about this song is KICK ASS! Those extended solos around the middle and end are just awesome. Gotta love mega solos hehe. I'm liking those new SS drums too. Very epic to hear them next to your riffs. Awesome song and great job on it.

Metallica1136 responds:

Haha, thanks man! Don't feel bad about not entering it. I didn't fucking score in it, and I thought for sure I may have gotten 4th place at least :((((((((

Yeah, the SS Platinum drums are amazing

Great work on this! Got some nice riffs as usual and I liked the added strings. Also, awesome dive before the solo! I wish I had a whammy bar dammit. I'm assuming that's what you used, right? Oh well, I'd probably end up over using it anyway LOL.

I can see this is a WIP so there's not much else I can say until I hear a complete version. I'd say, just make everything more powerful or heavier but that's it. Everything is great!

Metallica1136 responds:

Hey thanks man! No strings were used though. But that gives me an idea to add some synth in the complete version :P

Well, to be honest, I actaully used a bottleneck slide for the dive. I used to use a whammy bar, but my newer guitar doesn't support one >_>

Thanks for your review!

Awesomely done! Great song here. The cleans/chorus and distorted parts mix well together and the transitions are smooth. Also, I like how the bass has more of a part in this. Sometimes metal bands forget that bass is still an instrument and can have interesting parts too. This song proves it LOL.

The opening lead was a touch off but not bad or anything plus, the song is just golden. I'm really liking this one.

Great song and great job on this!

Metallica1136 responds:

Thanks dude! I appreciate the review. Yeah, the bass is just as important as the guitar, so I decided to make it stand out as much as the guitar. And yeah, my whole goal was to make the clean parts go real smoothly from clean to heavy.

So, you don't really care for the opening lead?

Such a nice loop! I like it a lot. It really does give off a lot of positive vibes while still retaining some mellowness. Only problem I see is that it's sooo short..... but at least I can pretend it's long LOL.

Great synths! Awesome song and Great Job on this!

KKSlider60 responds:

Thanks buddy! Glad you liked it. :3
The shortness is relative, lol!

Computers can suck sometimes that's why I opted to get a keyboard workstation (or in this case a synthesizer with a multi track recorder)..... that's probably not the best solution but dammit I wanted a keyboard too LOL!

Anyways, on to the song. I love that background again LOL The drums with the chorus guitar are just awesome! At some parts I feel the drums should be heavier or louder especially on those distorted guitar parts and with the distorted leads but I can understand that it's just a demo and stuff. Great demo anyways and Awesome job on it! The combination of clean and distortion always kicks ass in my book so I hope to hear the real thing soon.

Metallica1136 responds:

Haha, I know right? Computers really can piss you off. Especially Windows Vista! I run that crappy computer, man I still have yet to get my XP fixed lol. I've about had it with Shitsta. Time to go back to XP lol. A keyboard workstation would be a cool idea, but no VSTi support :(

Thanks for your review as usual. Your advice always helps me improve things I may have done wrong. Yeah, the drums should be heavier, but these aren't my EZDrummer drums. These are the FPC drums which aren't as cool sounding as EZDrummer.

I'll get the REAL version of the song done soon! I don't care if I don't have the EZDrummer as of right now. That won't stop me from doing the guitar and bass haha

Awesomely done! It sounds like a symphonic sort of song you know, like it was arranged for strings and everything but it's done with synths instead which, to me, is a great idea for making non-beat focused music which, music focused on beats is, apparently, the popular thing to do. I'm sorry but I like more melody focused music so that gives this song a plus one in my book hehe.

The guitar is also a nice addition and adds a lot more to this already unique sounding song. It's great to have a real instrument thrown in there as well hehe.

The part that throws me off just a little tiny bit is 1:28.... It just kind of drastically has a high synth and then it goes into the guitar. It's very short it's not like it's a big huge problem. Just something I kinda noticed. It doesn't kill the song or anything.

Anyways, awesome song I love the background and overall feel of the melody. Great Job!!

Metallica1136 responds:

Thanks for your review, man! Yeah, I like melodic stuff like this too. I suddenly had the mood to make something like this haha. And yeah, I see what you mean about the high part. I should either bring that down an octave, or turn down the velocity. Once again, thanks for the review!

Nice

Very nicely done! Hard to describe the feeling I get from this one other than the mood sounds very....happy and magical for lack of better words. Again I'm loving the synths that you used in this especially these bright sounding ones which really suit the thought of the sun rising well.

Great job on this!

Fubaka responds:

Thank you for giving a review on this.

I really was trying to capture the moment of watching the sun rise on a chilly winter morning. You get that feeling of warmth as the darkness disperses, but then once it's over you realize that it's still going to be a cold day.

Nevertheless, you enjoy the day, after seeing that sunrise...

Great song!!

As everyone knows.......or maybe it's just me..... I LOVE nice melodies and echo-y synths and this song has hit the spot PERFECTLY! It's not enough to just have echoe-y synths but you have to make them work well and you've done that well with a lovely mood and everything!

Great job on this!

Fubaka responds:

I thank you! I thought this song worked very nicely in that regard as well!
Your review has warmed this one's heart.

Yes!!

It's very heavy and full of ass-kickery HAH! Very awesome song dude! As always, I love these face punching riffs and some good lead going on there too.

Great job! Awesome song!

Metallica1136 responds:

Thanks man! Yeah, this is definitely by far my heaviest song with some of my absolute best riffs.
